Frases en inglés para el doctor y el hospital (guía completa)
Si hay un momento donde el inglés se vuelve urgente, es cuando te duele algo y nadie habla español. Esta guía es de las más importantes de toda la clínica: frases para pedir cita, explicar síntomas, entender al doctor y salir de la farmacia con lo que necesitas — con pronunciación escrita en español.

Pedir cita y llegar a la consulta

Esa última frase úsala sin pena: en Estados Unidos muchos hospitales tienen personal bilingüe o intérprete gratis por ley — se pide con “I need an interpreter, please” (ái níd an intérpreter, plis).

El comodín universal: It hurts here + señalar con el dedo. Funciona para cualquier parte del cuerpo sin saber su nombre.
Describir el dolor (lo que el doctor quiere saber)

La pregunta de la escala del dolor te la harán siempre: “On a scale of one to ten, how bad is the pain?” Ten tu número listo (los números, por si acaso).

Guarda en tu teléfono una nota en inglés con: tus alergias (I’m allergic to penicillin), medicamentos que tomas, condiciones (I’m diabetic — áim daiabétik) y un contacto de emergencia. Si un día no puedes hablar, esa nota habla por ti.
